Long Weekend Consulting has provided employee engagement and leadership development services to companies like Dutch Bros Coffe (NYSE:BROS) and Thesystem.co. We are a husband and wife team with over 20 years combined experience in Human Resources, Leadership Development Programming, Employee Listening, and Events. We are both outdoor educators by trade and honing our style in the backcountry has helped us be successful in working with complex businesses. We don't believe you have to go outside to learn what we learned, but we do believe you can bring joy, humor, and well-being into development for both the benefit of your organization and your employees. We love to work closely with mid-sized businesses, non-profits, or colleges and universities that want to scale people first and keep their culture alive in unique and competitive ways. I am a strategic and collaborative leader with expertise in creating intentional and meaningful experiences through learning, events, and programs. I combine professional experiences in employee engagement, event management, people management, learning and development, experiential education, and operational excellence. I am fluent in program implementation, employee & stakeholder relations, event production, and risk management with a proven ability to build partnerships and influence in a values-centered, mission-driven work environment.
As a current master's student at Penn's Master of Science in Non-Profit Leadership, I understand the role and value of thinking about mission and values in your company's pursuit. I also understand the value of clarifying Social Impact for profit-based organizations. Being thoughtful about how your leadership, employees, and customers perceive and interact with our values is an important part of how organizations pursue social impact. I believe that employee listening is a great way to start matching where you are and open up possibilities about how to make progress that feels great to all involved.
As a seasoned educator, I am a curious, compassionate, and skilled leader who has successfully grown new programs in both small institutions and large organizations. I bring my skills as a facilitator, consultant, coach, and genuine person to every team that I lead. My experience in organizational development, operations, human resources, and learning and training, combined with my passion for developing the self, empowering teams, and aligning organizations, makes me a valuable resource to companies in many areas.
With a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University and working for Global Organizations, National Brands, and large Private universities I have developed many tools to help train organizations, scale programs, and engage employees and students. I work with industry leaders and executives to stay tuned into current trends and challenges but continue to teach undergraduate and graduate students on topics including leadership, high-performing teams, and organizational behavior. I try to combine tried and true models, current case methods, and allow learners to bring their own experiences to the table.
